If you have been hurt by someone, would you ever go back to them? If they broke your heart, would you ever consider being with them? Released in 1975, this song is what real love is all about. Especially if you love someone so much, that even through the heartaches and heartbreaks, you still love them.

“Sweet Home Alabama” is probably the most well-known song by Lynyrd Skynyrd. Combining hard rock music with some touches of country as is typical in Southern rock genre, the song went to #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Right now he’s living at Warm Springs Ranch, in Boonville, Missouri, but will move to Grant’s farm where he’ll be cared for for about two and a half years. Then he’ll go to the training facility at Meramec, New Hampshire, when he’s three, KTVI reported.

Sometimes the best songs have the simplest licks. Guitarist Keith Richards created the main guitar lick in “Satisfaction,” a three-note riff played with a Gibson fuzzbox, which made the guitar sound like a saxophone, with which Richards hoped to replace it at some point – but the producers said no way Jose. Anyway, the song was performed live for the first time on Shindig!, an American TV show on which everything was performed live. You gotta love it! Many Boomers probably remember watching this memorable show. Not surprisingly, Rolling Stone magazine picked “Satisfaction” #2 on its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

You have some excellent choices, some from when I was little, to some when I was a tweener and then teenager and beyond….Continue with reviving the Good Stuff…..Old drunks and Potheads like it. Well, so do other people, who actually have taste in music. Thanks

The metal scene has been characterized as a “subculture of alienation”, with its own code of authenticity.[84] This code puts several demands on performers: they must appear both completely devoted to their music and loyal to the subculture that supports it; they must appear uninterested in mainstream appeal and radio hits; and they must never “sell out”.[85] Deena Weinstein states that for the fans themselves, the code promotes “opposition to established authority, and separateness from the rest of society”.[86]

36 Foreigner Foreigner is a British-American hard rock band, originally formed in New York City in 1976 by veteran English musician Mick Jones and fellow Briton and ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald along with American vocalist Lou Gramm.

Smoke on the Water is the most well known song world. You know most Americans are light weight rockers. Deep Purple ruled in most corners of the world. They were the most influential with the most history and the other great bands that came from the Purple tree with the best guitarist in the business. Ritchie s peers will tell you he was the best and influenced more guitarist world wide. And a much longer career than all those other guys. This is a insult to most known Riff ever.

By 1992, black metal scenes had begun to emerge in areas outside Scandinavia, including Germany, France, and Poland.[230] The 1993 murder of Mayhem’s Euronymous by Burzum’s Varg Vikernes provoked intensive media coverage.[227] Around 1996, when many in the scene felt the genre was stagnating,[231] several key bands, including Burzum and Finland’s Beherit, moved toward an ambient style, while symphonic black metal was explored by Sweden’s Tiamat and Switzerland’s Samael.[232] In the late 1990s and early 2000s decade, Norway’s Dimmu Borgir brought black metal closer to the mainstream,[233] as did Cradle of Filth.[234]

One of the signatures of the genre is the guitar power chord.[37] In technical terms, the power chord is relatively simple: it involves just one main interval, generally the perfect fifth, though an octave may be added as a doubling of the root. When power chords are played on the lower strings at high volumes and with distortion, additional low frequency sounds are created, which add to the “weight of the sound” and create an effect of “overwhelming power”.[38] Although the perfect fifth interval is the most common basis for the power chord,[39] power chords are also based on different intervals such as the minor third, major third, perfect fourth, diminished fifth, or minor sixth.[40] Most power chords are also played with a consistent finger arrangement that can be slid easily up and down the fretboard.[41]

These top classic rock bands were all hit-makers of their time and have rightfully earned a spot on this list of legends. Some of these famous bands have devoted followers decades after they called it quits (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd), some are considered icons of music (singers like Eric Clapton and bands like The Beatles, Queen), and some are even still touring (Rolling Stones, Aerosmith) despite the AARP status of their core members. These old school rock bands are still rocking, what have you done with your life?
